In the summer of 2001 Crucified Mortals was started as a solo project by Reaper, with a the recording of a dem entitled "Hung Out To Die". The demo was a horrid representation of the direction in which the band would then head into, but it did begin the Crucified discography and would be the only representation of the band for a few years. Demo at hand and a few unsuccessful members Crucified Mortals saw a brief break up, until the addition of drummer Sebastian Dzialuk in spring of 2003. The band was then offered to oppurtunity to appear on a compilation CD(which would never be released), so as a two piece band "The Reaper's Blade" had been recorded at the House of death. The sound and direction of the band would now be presented by this recording and eventually be re-recorded in a studio. It had then been pronounced that the band was going to be accompanied by Novy (Vader, Dies Irae, Devilyn) on bass, which also led to the band recruiting guitarist Zack Rose as a second guitarist. For the first time as a four piece would entered Magnetic North Studio January 2004 to record an E.P. titled “Converted By Decapitation” featuring Reaper: guitars/vocals, Zack Rose: guitar, Novy: bass, and Sebastian Dzialuk: drums. The "Converted By Decapitation" E.P. was then releasedby the band on their own label "Stigmatized Records" on Friday August 13th, 2004 it has gained great reviews from fans and 'zines around the world. Shortly after the release of "Converted By Decapitation" Zack Rose had left the band and Adam Cudnik took the roll of rhythm guitar. The band recorded a demo "Figure In Black" early 2005and would then receive an offer from Iron Bonehead Productions(Germany) to release a 7" vinyl E.P. A few weeks later the band entered the studio to record two new songs “Obscured Inquisitor” and “Nosferatu” for the 7” E.P. which would be called “Kill Upon Command.” April of 2005 the vacant bass position would finally be filled by Lou Spencer(ex-Manticore and Somnus) and with a hell of a cramming the band would would finally be able to play their first live performance April 22nd, with Deceased and Soulless. Shortly after the show Lou had decided to quite the band and a month or two later Adam has left as well. Zack Rose would then come back onboard and Reaper had took upon the bass duties granting Crucified Mortals the oppurtunity to continue to play live performances. The offer had come about for Crucified Mortals to join up with the mighty Spawn of Satan and release a split mini LP featuring three tracks from both bands. This release is still in the works, but will see the light of day in coming months by Hell's Headbangers. To Be Continued..... |
